Items for the
non-Norwegian speaking Background I started this web site 25 years ago after travelling in Spain and
Portugal (see the last item on this page) and went on to use it also for
marketing a patented system for displaying CDs on the wall (see penultimate
item). Both stories ended quickly. For
many years the site lay without further development and no other use than as
a storage and reference place for my publications as a researcher in health
economics. In the fall of 2023 I started filling the site with all kinds of stuff
that I have been dealing with during my life, pluss
– not in the least - data on sun conditions at 400 cafes and bars in Oslo
with outdoor seating – data that I collected by biking all over the city and
using a sun estimation app I developed with two friends a few years ago. Press HERE
for an example of the outcome and scroll down to photos and diagrams
combining skylines with sun curves for different times of the year. Press ‘Hjem’ to go back. The site is now a ‘bazaar’ of sorts. Recently (August 2024) it caught
attention from a couple of local newspapers and the main radio channel for
Oslo. I am told that it is about to become popular among young people. Great
fun for me! Below are a few items accessible to people who do not understand
Norwegian. * Crash course in
Norwegian pronounciation and grammar Health Economics:
Explanation of methods and selected publications Books by looks:
Ultrabrief review of a selection of paperback novels that I read 20-30 years ago. They may still be good. The B-13 Poem: If 1 and 3 are written closely together,
an ambiguity arises. Press here and try
to make sense of the poem. Songs I wrote: The first three on this list
are in English. See also: In the Early
Morning Sun (for our place in Spain). Enjoy photos and find the
song at the bottom of the page. Wild Horses (for nostalgic runners) New Years Eve: Hallelujah, Turkey to Ya! Press here and go to the last song. Love songs I used
to like to sing (guitar in hand) CD frames
(patented system for displaying CDs on the wall) Travels in Spain and Portugal: A guide to inexpensive hotels and their
best situated rooms, developed 1999-2002. By pressing here
and clicking on the map, readers without knowledge of Norwegian
may nonetheless enjoy a journey by photos to 70 places in Spain and a few in
South-East Portugal. |
